First photo is before and second is after install. Very well made and I try if possible to replace or upgrade with parts from Merica. I am happy with the upgrade. We have an upcoming Jeep fest in Virginia Beach and I will tell people about where I purchased these babies. Keep making awesome American made parts. Oh, these also came with a cool decal.
My build is a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport, 2 door and I came back to CMM Offroad for more beautifully machined and easy to install upgrades! The Hood Kit (New Footman Loop and De-Snubber Kit) is a remarkably easy R&R and Brian's instructions are super clear and spot-on. However, I'm a 'Stubby-Hubby', with short arms (think 'T-Rex' arms) and I had no help. So I used a dab of Plumber's Putty to hold the Footman Loop in place, whilst I delicately turned the allen screw into the threads from the underside. I found it easier to lay my hood all the way back, resting on the window frame with a blanket over my windshield to avoid any damage Once I had one side in place, the other side screwed in easy-peezy! The De-Snubbers were a peice-O-cake to install, once again, by following Brian's detailed online instructions. When it was all said and done, it took around 15-20 minutes to install the entire kit. My hood now has a very clean look and a new Footman Loop that's super solid and a trustworthy anchor point! This upgrade was a no-brainer. Jill was fast to answer my questions and provided top-tier customer service. I'll definitely be back for more upgrades!
Returning customer for more upgrades to my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited ((LJ) Rubicon 4.0L 6 speed manual. This time I upgraded the hood kit (footman loop + desnubbers). A very basic R & R with high quality parts. The video instructions were spot on except I have exceptionally short arms, or the modest 2” lift on 33” AT tires, or both, made the reach to the footman install just a little too far. No helper available today so a little bit of tape to keep the footman aligned from above whilst gently coaxing the Allen bolts home with a dab of blue Loctite did the trick. Well done CMM!
Easy to swap out with old parts. Billet steel definitely better looking and better quality along with more security when used for a tie down.
